Course Description: At the heart of social work value system there is a concern for the well being of all people, it becomes crucial that the well being as the crux needs to be considered and emphasized as a focus area. Certificate course on Adolescent well – being is designed to develop training quality in students. This course will enable students to learn about adolescence and major areas of intervention for the adolescents.

 

Course Objectives:

  1. To improve the awareness on adolescence
  2. To develop skills to communicate with adolescents
  3. To train students to conduct sessions of “Developmental changes in adolescence and its management
  4. To train students to conduct sessions of “Life skill education”
  5. To train students to conduct sessions for Legal awareness and guidance
  6. To train students to conduct sessions of “Guidance for better future “
  7. To asses on students’ knowledge, attitude and skill on Well-being of adolescents
  8. To train students on preparation of Train the Trainers (TTT) Well-being of adolescents in schools, communities and institutions.

 

Course Learning Outcome: The students will be prepared to become trainers in the area of adolescent well being.

Training to conduct sessions for Adolescents :

Developmental issues and Management,     Life Skills, Legal aspects, Gender aspects, Career and Vocational opportunities, Self defense and protection from abuse, E – literacy, Health and hygiene, Plan for better future and Peer group training

Adolescent Well being:  Workshop on Train The Trainer programme for the adolescent well being in schools, communities and institutions.
